Plumber Jobs with Central Illinois’ Most Trusted Team

Year-Round Work, Union Benefits, 80+ Years of Excellence

Build Your Career with Peoria's Premier Plumbing Company

Tired of winter layoffs? Dries Plumbing has kept crews working 50+ weeks a year for over eight decades. We handle large commercial jobs in Peoria and Bloomington-Normal, including hospitals, schools, and multi-family developments, the kind of steady work that keeps paychecks coming.

Our crews stay because they know that if trouble arises on a job site, backup is just a phone call away. That's how we've operated since the 1940s.

What Makes Working for Dries Different

Full-Time, All Year

December, January, and February, months when other crews often get sent home. Our phone keeps ringing because Bradley University still needs repairs, hospitals can't shut down their systems, and apartment complexes have emergencies—opportunities for year-round employment.

Local 63 and Local 99 benefits, union pay scale, and we supply your tools and gas. No arguing about who pays for what. The work stays steady enough to make those benefits count.

Some of our foremen began their careers here in the 1990s. They know the systems at every significant building in town, and they’ll teach you. When you’re troubleshooting a 15-year-old water heater at 2 AM, experience matters.

Medical gas piping certification opens up hospital work. Backflow testing keeps you busy year-round with required annual inspections. We’ll help get you trained because specialized skills mean more opportunities and better pay.

Open Positions

Journeyman Plumbers

Commercial projects, medical gas systems, and large-scale installations. If you can read plans and work independently, we have work. Backflow testing experience helps, but we'll train the right person.

New Union Members Welcome

Just completed your apprenticeship? You'll start with a veteran who knows the ropes. Real projects, real learning, no busy work.

Driver Positions Available

Good driving record and interested in the trade? Several of our current plumbers started as drivers, got their union cards, and worked their way up. It's a proven path.

Getting Started

You’ll start with someone who knows what they're doing. We match personalities and experience levels because nobody learns when they're feeling stressed. Before long, you're handling your own calls, but backup is always available. The team at Dries provides support as you become familiar with the systems.
